The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has formally launched an investigation into Bungoma County Government over the spending of KSh 3.7 million on a Christmas tree lighting event and approximately KSh 2.8 million on a benchmarking trip.
The investigation follows an invitation from the Senate Public Accounts Committee to examine alleged irregularities highlighted in the Auditor General’s report from Bungoma County.
