Kenya: EACC Details Process of How Recovered Public Money Is Returned to Government Use

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has clarified the process to be followed after it recovers public funds and assets suspected to be proceeds of corruption.

In a statement shared by the commission, EACC explained that the recovered funds are not distributed directly to citizens and are not retained by the agency.

According to the commission, all recovered public money is transferred to the National Treasury through established legal and financial procedures.
