The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has warned Kenyans, particularly youths, against meeting strangers through social media after uncovering an alleged TikTok network used to lure victims into crime.
The warning comes after detectives in Ruai, Nairobi County, arrested three suspects accused of using an anonymous TikTok page to contact unsuspecting victims before arranging physical meetings that allegedly ended in sexual assault and robbery.
