Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have successfully arrested two businessmen who were found to be in possession of 16 stolen motorcycles at their garage. The motorcycles were discovered during a raid at a building located along Juja Road which took place on a Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. The operation involved a team of detectives from Muthaiga Police Station and DCI offices in Starehe.

The DCI released a statement on Sunday, confirming the recovery of the stolen motorcycles and the subsequent arrest of the two suspects, Dominic Otieno Omollo and Antony Kagimbi Kanyoro, who were the owners of the garage where the stolen vehicles were found. The motorcycles have been processed and documented as exhibits at the DCI offices in Starehe. The suspects are currently in custody and are scheduled to appear at Makadara Law Courts on Monday, March 25.

This incident comes on the heels of another successful operation carried out by a multi-agency team of officers in Eldoret, where a 26-year-old man was apprehended for being in possession of a stolen vehicle belonging to the DCI. The man was arrested at his residence in Race Course Estate within Eldoret Township after the vehicle, a White DMAX, was reported stolen from the DCI in Kondele.

The collaborative effort between officers from DCI Kondele and DCI Turbo led to the successful arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen vehicle. The man is currently being held at the DCI offices in Kondele as investigations continue. The recovered items have been seized as exhibits to aid in the ongoing investigation.

These recent arrests highlight the commitment of law enforcement agencies in cracking down on criminal activities such as vehicle theft and the illegal possession of stolen property. The swift response and coordinated efforts of the detectives involved in these operations demonstrate their dedication to upholding law and order in the society.

Overall, the arrest of these suspects and the recovery of stolen motorcycles and vehicles serve as a clear message to criminals that their illegal activities will not go unnoticed or unpunished. The DCI and other law enforcement agencies remain vigilant in their pursuit of justice and the protection of the public from criminal elements.
