The Key Responsibilities of the Video Editor include collaborating closely with the production team to understand project objectives and creative direction, editing video footage to create compelling narratives with effects, graphics, and transitions that meet Boxraft’s high-quality standards, incorporating motion graphics and animation to enhance video content, performing colour correction and grading for visual consistency, engaging in the post-production process from organizing footage to final editing, contributing to brainstorming sessions for upcoming projects, and staying updated on the latest trends and techniques in video editing.
Skills and qualifications required for the role include proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other video editing software, a strong understanding of storytelling and editing techniques, experience with colour correction tools like DaVinci Resolve, a creative mindset with attention to detail, time management skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, at least 3 years of experience in video editing or a related field, and a portfolio showcasing previous video editing projects.
