Employment and Labour Court on Wednesday declared the nationwide lecturers’ strike illegal directing the government and the University Academic Staff Union (UASU) to speed up negotiations and reach an amicable solution.
The ruling came barely a day after UASU workers resumed strike at midnight on Monday, October 28, after being ignored by the government.
