Kenya: COTU Backs Continued NSSF Deductions Amid Court of Appeal Ruling Confusion

The Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) has defended the continued deduction and remittance of National Social Security Fund (NSSF) contributions under the enhanced rates, insisting that workers and employers should remain compliant despite ongoing court-related uncertainty.

In a notice issued on Saturday, June 6, COTU maintained that Kenyan workers will continue contributing under the framework provided for in the NSSF Act, 2013, which it says remains valid and enforceable.
