Kenya: Airtel SIM Subscriptions Swell to 21.5 Million as Airtel Money’s Market Share Grows

Airtel Kenya is fast gaining ground with the most recent report by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) highlighting positive growth of the telecommunications’ GSM Global System for Mobile Communications (GSMS) network and Airtel Money market share. 

As per CA, the total number of SIM subscriptions in the country is 71,375,093, with a penetration rate of 138.5 per cent. Of this number, Airtel has a total of 21,517,842 subscribers, translating to a market share of 30.15 per cent.
