Information, Communication and Technology Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo now says that the government intends to strengthen oversight of TikTok as part of efforts to enhance online safety.

Kabogo said the government is working to introduce improved user protection, stronger cybersecurity frameworks, new age verification systems, and increased awareness of data privacy and digital literacy.
