At least five police officers drawn from the Special Operations Unit (SOU) have reportedly been killed by Al Shabaab terrorists inside Boni Forest in Lamu County.
The ambush, which occurred on Wednesday evening, left five other elite officers nursing serious injuries. According to reports, the officers were ambushed while pursuing people believed to be Al Shabaab officers.
