Eight government officials attached to the Samburu County Assembly were on Monday involved in a road accident near Sukta, Marmar in Samburu County.

According to reports, two of the injured county officials were Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) of Samburu who were travelling to Bungoma County for games.

The accident is said to have been caused by mechanical issues that eventually led a county vehicle to crash resulting in the injuries.
