Kenya on Tuesday sent a contingent of its police officers for a peacekeeping mission in South Sudan, a second international mission that officers from Kenya are undertaking this year.

The officers are set to coordinate with other officers from South Sudan under the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission (UNMISS).

The 18 Kenyan officers are majorly drawn from the Administration Police Service(APS) and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI).
