Hon. Salisu Lawal Uli, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Katsina State, has resigned from the party and declared allegiance to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
In a resignation letter dated July 2, 2025, and addressed to the party leadership, Uli cited persistent leadership crises and a lack of internal discipline in the PDP since 2022. He said the party had strayed from its founding principles and could no longer enforce accountability.
“Warning signs became evident when certain members placed themselves above party discipline, regardless of their misconduct,” he wrote.
