Kalangala fisherman accused of killing wife over childlessness, police say

Police in Kalangala District have detained a 50-year-old fisherman accused of killing his wife following a domestic dispute reportedly linked to childlessness and allegations of adultery.

Ibrahim Nsereko, a fisherman at Kussu landing site on Buyovu Island in Bufumira Sub-county, is accused of killing his wife, Juliet Kinyoyozi, 38, a farmer with whom he had lived for about three years.

Greater Masaka Regional Police spokesperson Twaha Kasirye said Nsereko was arrested on a murder charge and remains in custody as investigations continue.
