The Judiciary of Uganda, through its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) framework, has rolled out Alternative Justice Systems (AJS) in Lango Sub-region, a milestone aimed at integrating traditional justice mechanisms with the formal judiciary.

Launched at Lira City-based Margarita Palace Hotel on Tuesday, the initiative seeks to address the significant case backlog and justice deficit by recognising the legitimacy of indigenous community-based structures.
