Candidate of the Accord Party for the 2024 Edo Gubernatorial Election, Comrade Kennedy Iyere, is confident of securing victory in the upcoming September polls. He expressed his certainty of winning during a briefing in Abuja on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s N100 billion Fertilizer Intervention program.
During the briefing, Iyere emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the distribution process of the fertilizer intervention. He called on Nigerians to demand accountability from the CBN and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture to ensure a fair and equitable distribution process. According to Iyere, the key to solving Nigeria’s challenges lies in the political will to implement programs for the common good without partisan interests.
Additionally, Iyere urged President Bola Tinubu to collaborate with stakeholders across party lines to ensure the success of the CBN-anchored fertilizer intervention. He highlighted the significance of individual patriotism and selflessness in supervising the distribution process for the program’s success.
Furthermore, Iyere recommended the involvement of various stakeholders, including traditional institutions, religious groups, farmers cooperatives, and NGOs, in the distribution chain to enhance efficiency and transparency. He reiterated his confidence in winning the 2024 Edo Gubernatorial Election as the Accord Party candidate, envisioning his victory as a pivotal moment for the political and economic revival of Edo State.
Iyere pledged to lead a result-oriented state-wide election campaign and promised to bring about the desired change as envisioned by the people. In conclusion, Comrade Kennedy Iyere’s determination and vision for Edo State’s future reflect his commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability. His optimism and strategic plans for the 2024 Edo Gubernatorial Election underscore his readiness to lead the state towards progress and development. His call for unity and collaboration across party lines signifies a shift towards inclusive governance and a focus on the people’s welfare.
