Ivory Coast will be without several key players for the international break in March, the FIF announced in a statement, as the Elephants take on Benin and Uruguay this month.

Ivory Coast will not be able to rely on all of its key players called up for its first international matches after the Africa Cup of Nations. The Elephants will be without three essential players for the friendly matches in March. According to a statement from the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), these players are Séko Fofana, Ibrahim Sangaré, and Evan Ndicka.

Séko Fofana (Al-Ettifaq Fc) with a groin injury is replaced by Kader Keita (CFR Cluj, Romania). Ibrahim Sangaré, who felt discomfort after the match with his club Nottingham Forest, is replaced by Zouzoua Pacôme (Young Africans SC, Tanzania). Emmanuel Agbadou (Reims, France) has been called up to replace Evan Ndicka who also felt discomfort during training on Saturday, March 16, 2024, with AS Roma, the FIF stated in its release.

As a reminder, Ivory Coast will face Benin on March 23, 2024, in Amiens, France. They will then take on Uruguay on March 26, 2024, in Lens, both matches taking place in France.
