The leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Effiong Nyong, and former governorship candidate of the party, Peter Edeh, former national chairman for North Central, have re-emphasised that the major purpose and aim of the coalition party is to take power and reconstruct both Cross River State and Nigeria in general.

Both Nyong and Edeh spoke at the formal unveiling of the party in the state yesterday in Calabar.

Nyong, who leads the party in the state, lamented that many things have gone wrong and that the country has been run aground.
