The killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on Wednesday prompted a torrent of angry reaction. Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Iran took it as a duty to avenge Haniyeh’s assassination, which he blamed on Israel.
