The CEO of Inter Lagos, Lanre Vigo, has emphasized that one of the main goals of the club is to positively impact the lives of young Nigerians. He spoke at the official unveiling of Inter Lagos in Lagos, highlighting the club’s mission to shift the focus of Nigerian youth from foreign clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool to local clubs. Vigo aspires to create a football club that will attract a loyal fanbase and provide a satisfying experience for spectators through quality players and a strong technical crew.
Inter Lagos, established in 2023, plays its NNL home games at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos. The club has quickly garnered enthusiastic support from fans and is striving to earn promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). Notably, Inter Lagos recently achieved a significant victory by defeating Warri Wolves FC 4-0, and they remain unbeaten in the NNL league after five games.
Vigo, a sports agent managing prominent athletes such as Israel Adesanya, Tobi Amusan, and Asisat Oshoala, expressed his excitement about the club’s current standing in the league. Additionally, co-founder Tosin Fashoyin praised the technical crew, players, and everyone involved in contributing to the club’s success.
