Monday’s meeting marked the end of what President Museveni christened the “fishermen cabinet” after the Ugandan strongman won the 2021 presidential poll.
While supporters of Uganda’s president since 1986 have suggested that he, like the central figure of the Christian religion, walked on water by reportedly ushering the country into the middle-income status, the waves that rocked the boat in which his disciples squeezed into threatened to torpedo it after an iron sheets and goats scandal came to light in February of 2023.
