While green tea has made its way to Morocco from distant lands and continues to be imported, mint has been accompanying Moroccans since time immemorial, with local production ranking as the most important globally.
Although mint is one and indivisible, the varieties known in our land are diverse and come from hinterlands whose names they have taken and sometimes given their own names.
Cultivated in both productive irrigated and seasonal rain-fed areas, mint is also a plant that no agricultural operation can do without, even just to meet self-consumption needs. A closer look at a plant that we enjoy in tea and could also offer as a bouquet.
