http://Actuguinee.org / This is a decision that has just reached us. The High Authority of Communication (HAC) has suspended journalist Mamoudou Babila Keita and his news website inquisiteur.net for a period of 6 months starting from Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
This sanction follows a complaint filed on March 27 by former Minister of Justice Charles Whrigt against the journalist for “defamation through the press and failure to comply with the rules of ethics and professionalism in the journalism profession.”

It all started with an article published on his website inquisiteur.net on March 20 titled “Ministry of Justice: scent of corruption around the renovation of the central house of coronthie,” in which journalist Babila Keita accuses Charles Whrigt of corruption for having awarded 11 contracts in violation of the provisions of the public procurement code.
The HAC reproaches journalist Mamoudou Babila Keita, firstly, for not providing evidence of the corruption allegations against the former Minister of Justice during the confrontation as mentioned in his article. And secondly, for not verifying the information with former Minister Charles Whrigt.
