The government plans to integrate artificial intelligence into Uganda’s healthcare system as it expands digital services and adopts new technologies to improve diagnosis and disease management, Health Minister Chris Baryomunsi has said.
Dr Baryomunsi said AI would form part of broader efforts to modernise healthcare delivery, citing countries such as South Korea where the technology is being used to support diagnosis and management of diseases, including cancer.
