Government has rolled out a comprehensive study to assess the readiness of Kampala’s buildings to survive earthquakes, amid growing global destruction caused by tremors.

Works and Transport Minister Fred Byamukama, while closing a one-day training of enumerators on rapid visual screening and compliance monitoring tools in Kampala on Tuesday September 1, said the exercise will start from Greater Kampala Metropolitan areas before spreading to other parts of the country.
