Gov Yusuf defection: Kano politics has been hot since 1979 – Shehu Sani

Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has stated that politics in Kano State has been hot since 1979.

Sani said defections in political parties across Nigeria have been seamless except in Kano State.

Posting on Facebook, the former lawmaker wrote: “All the defections in the country have been seamless and easy except that of Kano. Kano’s politics remains as hot as that of 1979. We were living witnesses to the turbulence of that era.

“When the PRP won Kano and Kaduna, we dragged the maize plants along the streets of Kaduna, the maize was part of the logo of the ruling NPN.
