Twinstars Boxing Promotions, a new boxing promotional outfit, is preparing to host its debut show on March 30 in Weija, Accra. The event will showcase eight exciting bouts, including a super lightweight national championship match featuring Samuel Quaye and an opponent who is yet to be announced.

In addition to the championship fight, the event will also feature a super bantamweight contest between Aziz Seidu and Vandorf Okrah, as well as a match between Joseph Sackey and Daniel Otoo. Fans can also look forward to a cruiserweight showdown between Dodzi Kemeh and Jon Power.

During a press conference in Accra to announce the promotions, Twinstars’ General Manager, Ms. Lexis Opoku Agyemang, emphasized the outfit’s commitment to promoting boxing talent not only locally but also at the national and continental levels. She expressed the organization’s desire to expand the reach of boxing beyond traditional areas like Bukom to provide entertainment for boxing enthusiasts in Kasoa and beyond.

Ms. Agyemang called on corporate entities in Ghana to support their efforts as they strive to make a significant impact in the Ghanaian boxing scene. The Deputy Director of Communications for the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Mr. Michael Tetteh, also known as Golden Mike, applauded Twinstars for their initiative and echoed the GBA’s mission to bring boxing to all communities, including Weija.

According to Mr. Tetteh, having boxing events in Weija marks a significant milestone for the sport in Ghana, and the GBA is fully committed to supporting Twinstars in their endeavors. The Chief Executive Officer of Twinstars, Ahmed Davis, urged boxing fans in the area to attend the event in large numbers to ensure its success and create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
