The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Mustapha Ussif, recently expressed his gratitude towards President Nana Akufo Addo and all stakeholders involved in the successful hosting of the African Games in Ghana. He emphasized the importance of thanking the president for his confidence and trust in the ability of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and others to organize and execute the event.
During a meeting with Ghanaian medalists from the Games at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, the Minister highlighted the significance of the occasion as a day of thanksgiving. Ghana’s performance at the African Games was notable, as the country placed sixth among over 50 participating nations. This achievement was further highlighted by Ghana’s highest medal haul in the history of the Games, with a total of 68 medals.
