The Central Regional Students/Youth and Nananom Durbar was graced by the presence of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the 2020 running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former Minister of Education. The event, held at the Abeadze Dominase Community Park, began with a warm welcome by the Ankobeahen of the Abeadze State.

During the program, Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang, along with other dignitaries, had the opportunity to inspect an exhibition showcasing the work of various basic and senior high schools in the Central Region. The theme of the event was “Empowering and bridging tradition with tomorrow’s leaders,” and in her address, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the importance of bridging the existing gap between traditions and modernity.

She expressed her gratitude for being able to interact with the students and commended them for their impressive exhibition. The event also featured speeches from other esteemed individuals such as Mr. Abraham Dwuma Odoom, the former Deputy Minister of Health, and Mr. Dominik Kleeman, CEO of Nexis Africa Ltd. The highlight of the day was the groundbreaking ceremony for the King Mansa Musah Central Regional Stem-Innovation Centre, led by Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, the Omanhen of the Abeadze Traditional Area.

Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang was accompanied by the Central Regional NDC chairman, Prof. Richard Aseidu, NDC parliamentary candidates for Mfantseman and Assin South, and several regional executives. The event was a testament to the commitment of these leaders to education, youth empowerment, and preserving cultural heritage.
