A total of 13,516 trained teachers from accredited Colleges of Education have been assigned to basic and second-cycle schools nationwide to fulfill their one-year compulsory national service, as revealed by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Secretariat on March 4th of this year.
The announcement was made in a statement signed and issued in Accra by Ambrose Entsiwah Junior, who is the Acting Director of Corporate Affairs at NSS. Service Personnel in this category are advised to visit the scheme’s website, www.nss.gov.gh, to verify their placements.
In addition, the statement instructed these trained teachers to proceed to the various NSS Regional Secretariats to complete the registration process, which is set to kick off on March 8th at all centers. It emphasized the importance of all deployed teachers accepting their placements and adhering to reporting guidelines.
