Mr. Kwaning-Bosompem addressed the attendees and emphasized the need to establish and maintain a credible payroll system to ensure efficient financial management.
One of the measures highlighted at the conference was the engagement with members who are on the payroll to link their National Identification Authority (NIA) number to the payroll database. This initiative, which commenced two years ago, is now being implemented. Mr. Kwaning-Bosompem stated that individuals without an NIA card will soon have their pay disconnected. He further clarified that even if an NIA card is missing, the individual’s number is still on the database, and efforts will be made to cross-check and validate if necessary.
