The Vice President emphasized that hosting the Games aligns with Ghana’s commitment to promoting social and cultural benefits through sports. The government’s decision to bid for and secure the rights to host the Games has led to the construction of top-notch sporting facilities, including the upgraded University of Ghana Sports Stadium with a 10,000-seat capacity, a modern Mundo track for athletics, warm-up tracks, a rugby field, and the Borteyman Sports Complex.
Dr. Bawumia assured that Ghana has invested significantly in the necessary infrastructure to ensure a smooth and successful hosting of the Games. He confidently stated that Ghana would exceed expectations by hosting the best African Games ever.
