One Amie Njie Tuesday appeared before Magistrate Mben Faal of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court on charges of stealing jewelry valued at two million dalasis.

Prosecutor Inspector Cherno B. Jallow, appearing on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), charged the accused with stealing, contrary to section 252 of the Criminal Code Cap 10.01, Volume 3, Revised Laws of The Gambia, 2009.
