Former Independent Presidential Candidate and Head of Team Sobeya, Lawyer Essa Mbaye Faal, has called on all Gambians to set aside their differences and come together for the common goal of bringing the Gambia family back on track. In an audio message shared on the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, Mr. Faal expressed his deep concern over the high cost of living, lack of opportunities for young people, increasing drug problems, excessive borrowing, lack of safety, corruption, and failure to implement promised reforms and TRRC recommendations.

Mr. Faal highlighted the government’s failure to pass a new democratic constitution, address the voting rights of Gambians in the diaspora, improve civil servants’ wages, and enhance the health system and infrastructure. He promised to release statements on each of these issues and propose policy considerations to address them in the future.

While acknowledging that Eid is a joyous occasion, Mr. Faal emphasized the urgent need for Gambians to unite and challenge the status quo to find lasting solutions to the country’s problems. He invited all Gambians to join forces in restoring peace, security, economic development, and prosperity for the nation.

In closing, Faal extended warm Eid greetings to the Muslim community and Easter greetings to the Christian community. He urged everyone to come together and work towards a better future for all.

The message from Mr. Faal serves as a reminder of the challenges facing the Gambia and the importance of unity in overcoming them. It emphasizes the need for collective action to address pressing issues such as high living costs, lack of opportunities, and corruption. By bringing attention to these issues and proposing solutions, Mr. Faal hopes to inspire positive change and improve the lives of all Gambians.

The call for unity and collective action is timely and crucial in a country facing numerous challenges. By setting aside divisions and coming together for a common purpose, Gambians can work towards a brighter future and build a more prosperous and peaceful nation for generations to come.

In conclusion, Mr. Faal’s message resonates with the spirit of unity and solidarity, urging all Gambians to come together and take necessary measures to put the Gambia family back on track. By heeding this call and working together, the people of Gambia can overcome their challenges and pave the way for a better tomorrow.
