The Kanifing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday convicted and sentenced Uzoma Obi, a Nigerian to five years mandatory jail term after pleading guilty of assault, causing grievous bodily harm.
The presiding magistrate Thomos T. Touray also ordered the convict Mr Obi to pay D100,000.00 compensation to the complainant, Abdoulie Jammeh, in default, he would serve an additional two-year-jail term.
