The National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC) has intensified efforts to secure international recognition for one of The Gambia’s treasured cultural practices, palm wine tapping, by pursuing its inscription on UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Safeguarding.
