His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad(aba), highlighted the significance of prayers during battles with examples from the Battle of Uhud.
During the Battle of Uhud, Hazrat Sa’d(ra) vowed to either defeat the enemy or be martyred. The Holy Prophet(sa) prayed for his success, and Hazrat Sa’d(ra) displayed immense courage and faith in the battlefield. The Holy Prophet(sa) entrusted him with arrows, including a special one that proved to be the fastest and most accurate. Hazrat Mirza Bashir Ahmad(ra) narrated this incident as a noble example of bravery and dedication to the cause.
The guidance given by the Holy Prophet(sa) during battles was exemplified when Khalid bin Walid led an attack on the Muslim forces. The Holy Prophet(sa) prayed for victory, and Hazrat Umar(ra) defended the position, leading to the revelation of a Qur’anic verse reassuring believers of eventual success. Despite his injuries, the Holy Prophet(sa) remained concerned for his companions, highlighting the importance of selflessness and compassion.
The bravery and resilience of Muslim women were also highlighted, with examples of patience and faith in the face of tragedy. The women of Madinah, including Hazrat Hamnah(ra) and Hazrat Hind(ra), showed remarkable strength and trust in Allah during times of adversity. Their actions set a noble example for all believers to follow.
In light of the current global challenges, His Holiness(aba) urged prayers for Palestinians and Ahmadis in Yemen. He emphasized the importance of humanitarian aid and advocacy for justice in conflict zones. Additionally, he advised preparing for potential emergencies by storing rations and taking necessary precautions. The call for prayers extended to the broader world situation, with a plea for wisdom and unity among nations.
A tribute was also paid to a martyr, Respected Tariq Cheema, who was tragically killed in Pakistan. His dedication to his faith, family, and community was remembered fondly, and His Holiness(aba) prayed for his soul to be granted peace and elevated status in the hereafter.
In conclusion, the Friday Sermon shed light on the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa) and emphasized the importance of faith, courage, and compassion in times of trial. The guidance provided serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for believers facing challenges in today’s world.
