Fintech and mobile money operators in The Gambia continued to expand rapidly in the first half of 2025, reinforcing progress in financial inclusion.

According to the Governor of the Central Bank of The Gambia, Mr. Buah Saidy, registered accounts stood at 4.5 million by the end of June 2025. Of these, 2.4 million were active.
