The Brikama Magistrates’ Court on Thursday convicted Sulayman Njie, a Gambian, after finding him guilty of stealing while employed as a bank teller.

Magistrate Kanjura B. Sambou then fined the convict to pay D30,000.00 or, in default, to serve one year imprisonment, and he was ordered to pay compensation of D3 million, failing which he would serve five years in prison. The sentences will run concurrently.
