The government’s Reparations Commission has begun disbursing payments to victims of human rights violations under former President Yahya Jammeh.
The Commission is chaired by Dr. Badara Loum, with Madam Isatou Ndow serving as vice-chairperson, alongside five other commissioners tasked with overseeing the process.
In a communique released on Tuesday, the Commission said the reparations cover violations committed between 1994 and 2017.
