Ousman Jarju, a native of Tanji village in the West Coast Region, was sentenced on Monday after pleading guilty to charges of housebreaking. Magistrate Kanjura B. Sambou delivered the verdict, which included several fines and prison terms in default.

Jarju was charged with two counts of housebreaking and theft, and was sentenced to a fine of ten thousand dalasi (D10,000) on the first count, with six months imprisonment in default. And on…
