Gambia: Gambian writer and journalist, Lamin Sanyang has recently published a book titled “Tears of Blood”. –

The 102-page novel Is a story of coup d’etat that was led by junior military officers in an African country. It depicts the rise of junior officers who staged a coup and were initially seen as heroes of the people. They were consumed by power and started to betray one another. But as power corrupts, they descend into brutality committing summary executions, unlawful arrests, prolonged detentions, and even enforced disappearances.
