The Gambian health sector has marked a major milestone with the qualification of Dr. Baba Leigh as the country’s first homegrown Consultant Hematologist.

Dr. Leigh recently completed specialist training in hematology at Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar, Senegal, and has returned to The Gambia under a partnership programme with the University of The Gambia (UTG).
