The Gambia Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) has intensified its crackdown on illegal drugs, arresting 53 individuals and seizing more than 1,000 bundles of suspected cannabis.
The arrests and seizure of drugs and other controlled substances were made in coordinated operations across the country.
According to DLEAG, the arrests occurred between February 1 and February 19, 2026, covering multiple regions, including Banjul, Brikama, Serrekunda, and surrounding areas.
