The Coalition of Progressive Gambians (CoPG) has issued a strong condemnation of what it described as “unprofessional conduct” by officers of the Police Intervention Unit (PIU), following recent incidents of alleged police brutality.
In a press statement released on 30th September 2025, CoPG said the assaults and use of tear gas on civilians, including women, children, and minors, raised serious concerns about professionalism and accountability within the police force….
