Alhaji Sosseh Colley, a respected elder from Bakau, has expressed his gratitude towards philanthropist Momodou Turo Darboe for his consistent annual donation of sugar. Mr. Darboe, who is Alhaji Sosseh’s nephew, has always shown him great respect and care.
Every year, during the month of Ramadan, Mr. Darboe generously provides Alhaji Sosseh with 50 bags of sugar, each weighing 10kg. This year was no exception, as he once again delivered the sugar to Alhaji Sosseh. The elderly man then distributes the sugar among his community members in Katchikally and Mamakoto. Alhaji Sosseh, along with his neighbors, extend their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Darboe for his kindness and generosity. They pray for Allah to reward him, protect him from harm, grant him good health, and increase his wealth.
This act of kindness towards Alhaji Sosseh is just a part of a larger initiative undertaken by Mr. Darboe and his Vision Development Foundation. They are distributing a total of 1,500 10kg bags of sugar, along with other food items and cash, to Muslims in need during the holy month of Ramadan.
The gesture of providing essential food items to those in need during Ramadan reflects the spirit of giving and compassion that is highly encouraged in Islam. It is a time for Muslims to reflect on their blessings and share with those less fortunate, embodying the values of generosity and community support.
Mr. Darboe’s dedication to helping Alhaji Sosseh and others in his community exemplifies the importance of taking care of the elderly and vulnerable members of society. By consistently providing support and assistance, he not only fulfills his duty as a nephew but also sets an admirable example for others to follow.
It is heartwarming to see individuals like Mr. Darboe actively contributing to the well-being of their community, especially during a time of increased need such as the Ramadan period. His selfless actions serve as a reminder of the positive impact that one person can have on the lives of many others.
As Alhaji Sosseh and his neighbors express their gratitude and prayers for Mr. Darboe, the community at large joins them in recognizing his kindness and benevolence. May his efforts continue to inspire others to give back and make a difference in the lives of those around them.
