The Gabonese associative scene was electrified by the swift launch of the Platform for National Reconstruction (PRN) on March 30, 2024. On this occasion, the Nzeng-Ayong stadium was the scene of a massive mobilization, bringing together more than 4000 citizens from various associations, all united by one goal: to rebuild Gabon alongside the President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
Under the auspices of the Transition government and the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI), the PRN positioned itself as a beacon of hope for a nation eager for renewal. In a passionate speech, its executive secretary, Éric Boumah, who is also the Director-General of Taxes (DGI), emphasized the platform’s unwavering commitment to being a pillar of support for all Gabonese citizens aspiring to a better future.
The PRN emerges as the result of a deeply rooted desire within Gabonese society to actively participate in the country’s reconstruction. It positions itself as a unifying force, grounded in values of solidarity, equality, and social justice, thus carrying the aspirations of a nation towards a prosperous future.
In a passionate appeal, the executive secretary of the PRN called on all Gabonese patriots, inviting them to join this collective transformation endeavor. He affirmed the platform’s determination to be a voice for the people’s concerns with leaders, while offering unwavering support to the President of the Republic, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
“My dear compatriots, the platform for national reconstruction aims to be a relay for the legitimate concerns of all Gabonese people to our leaders. But also, without any ambiguity, it is willing to support and accompany the President of the Republic, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema in all his actions, as well as being a force for proposing and a tool for uniting all the sons and daughters of Gabon,” said Éric Boumah.
At a time when Gabon aspires to rebuild a strong national trust, the PRN intends to be a concrete response to these expectations, offering an inclusive space for exchange and contribution throughout the national territory.
