The Gabonese youth demands transparency and communication regarding the use of the budget (500,000,000) allocated for its development
As the National Dialogue looms on the horizon, the Gabonese youth respectfully appeals to the highest level of the State, to the President of the Transition, President of the Gabonese Republic, Head of State, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, to intervene so that answers are given regarding the use of the budget of 500,000,000 francs allocated to them.
In this approach, Emmanuel Ombana, a Gabonese citizen and representative of the youth, serves as the spokesperson for this legitimate demand following several consultations and meetings with associations and organizations. He deplores the silence of the authorities of the Ministry of Youth, the General Directorate of Youth and Socio-educational Activities, as well as the National Youth Council of Gabon, in the face of this situation, considering the numerous press conferences organized and media calls inviting the youth to participate.
For Emmanuel Ombana, this opacity is all the more worrying as the Gabonese youth aspires to a flourishing and enlightened development. He insists on the crucial importance of transparent communication and inclusive management in the implementation of budgetary policies intended for the youth.
This lack of clarity, he emphasizes, not only risks hindering the development of the Gabonese youth, but also discouraging their engagement in future initiatives. He draws attention to the detrimental consequences of such management, noting that the repetition of this situation would only reinforce the demobilization of the youth.
Emmanuel Ombana thus calls for a radical change in the way funds allocated to the youth are managed and accounted for. He reminds that trust is the cornerstone of any prosperous society and that only a resolute commitment to transparency and financial accountability can ensure a promising future for the Gabonese youth.
