The President of the Gabon Bar Association, Me Raymond Obame Sima, along with some members of the council of the association, recently visited the Ambassador of France in Gabon, Alexis Lamek, to introduce the new leaders of the Gabon Bar Association and to request assistance in carrying out their professional activities with colleagues in the Schengen area.
During the visit, the President took the opportunity to share some concerns of the Gabon Bar Association with the French diplomat. He requested assistance in establishing partnerships with French libraries and French cooperation to equip the future Marlyse Issembe library of the Gabon Bar Association with legal and general culture books.
Me Raymond Obame Sima also requested support from France in twinnings with French Bar Associations, and to simplify the process of obtaining Schengen visas to allow them to quickly travel to France and the European Union for their professional activities.
Ambassador Alexis Lamek, always attentive to the requests of his guests, expressed his total openness and availability to support the Gabon National Bar Association in all actions aimed at improving its overall functioning. This response reassured the lawyers.
Me Raymond Obame Sima was elected on December 27 last year during a general assembly of lawyers for a renewable 2-year term.
