In preparation for the inclusive national dialogue scheduled for April 2, the leaders of political parties, apparently angry, accuse the Committee for Transition and the Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) of interference in the designation of their participants in this important meeting.

“We were asked for 4 names of members of our party to participate in the dialogue, and we are surprised to see that they have chosen a member themselves to participate, which is a violation of the law,” said a political leader contacted by Gabonactu.com who will discuss with his peers their position in the coming hours.

According to decree no. 128 bis/PT-PR/MTI of March 26 designating participants in the inclusive national dialogue, published in the official journal, each political party was entitled to a single representative as a participant in the upcoming national dialogue.

For the political leaders, it is not for the President of the Transition, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, to choose their participants. For them, the choice should be made by each party itself, according to the law governing the functioning of political parties, which expressly states that “political parties are autonomous and organize freely.”

“This is a way of putting political parties under guardianship,” another political leader criticized.

In the decree convening the participants in this inclusive national dialogue, the names of some political heavyweights are missing, such as Pierre Claver Maganga Moussavou (PSD), Alain Claude Bilie By Nze (PDG), Louis Gaston Mayila (UPNR), Guy Nzouba Ndama (LD), Thérence Gnembou Moutsona (PRC), Dr Séraphin Akure-Davain (LDL), Jean Boniface Asselé (CLR), Ariel Eloi Iwangou (PRD) and others.
